A 10-Minute Morning Yoga Routine to Wake Up Your Body

A 10-Minute Morning Yoga Routine to Wake Up Your Body

You do not need an hour to begin the day well. Ten unhurried minutes can loosen stiffness, wake the breath and set a calm tone.

The routine

  1. Seated breath (1 min): sit tall and take five slow breaths.
  2. Spinal circles (2 min): circle the torso slowly like a river around a stone, in both directions.
  3. Cat–cow (2 min): on hands and knees, arch and round the spine with your breath.
  4. Low lunge (2 min): step one foot forward, sink the hips and breathe, then switch sides.
  5. Forward fold and roll up (2 min): hang loosely, bend the knees, then roll up one vertebra at a time.
  6. Stand and breathe (1 min): feel your feet, soften your shoulders and set an intention.

Make it stick

Attach the routine to something you already do, like switching on the kettle. Start with just five minutes if that feels easier.

If you enjoy it, our live regular sessions run 4 days a week, including morning options.
