Not at all. Our classes welcome complete beginners and experienced practitioners alike, and every session is guided step by step so you can move at your own pace.
Yoga nidra is a systematic and guided practice of inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. The term is derived from two Sanskrit words, yoga meaning union or one-pointed awareness and Nidra meaning sleep. During the practice of yoga nidra, one appears to be asleep, but the consciousness is functioning at a deeper level of awareness.
In yoga nidra, the state of relaxation is reached by turning inwards away from the outer experiences. If the consciousness can be separated from external awareness and from sleep, the consciousness itself becomes very powerful and can be applied in many ways, for example to develop memory, increase knowledge and creativity and transform one's own self.
During the regular 1-hour session, the meditation will be at the end for 3 to 5 minutes. The practice can be continued as the session ends. If the participant wants to continue meditating, they do not need to open their eyes or get up when the session ends.
Please speak to your GP before starting any new exercise practice, and tell your teacher about any injuries or conditions so they can guide you safely. Yoga is not a substitute for medical advice.
A yoga mat, comfortable clothing, a quiet corner and a device with Zoom. Keep a blanket and a thin pillow in reach of you before the session begins.
All classes are offered live, as we do not encourage practising with recordings because there is no live guidance. For this reason, recorded classes are not available. If a morning session is missed, the next session on the same day can be attended. However, if the next session is missed too, we are unable to offer an additional live lesson on that day.

Yes, yoga is great for all ages especially for growing children and teenagers. Regular yoga practice is proven to be effective in promoting overall development and mental wellbeing. We teach children aged 7 to 12 face to face and adolescents aged 12 to 18 online, 2 days a week, with playful, age-appropriate practices.
We tailor each class to the interests and preferences of the children attending, while keeping a balanced yoga practice. You can read the full answer on our Kids Yoga page.
Absolutely, children can meditate beautifully. We use games, movement, breathing exercises and yoga postures to keep them engaged, and introduce guided meditation for 3 to 5 minutes during or towards the end of the session.
