Stress is part of life, but we can build small habits that give the nervous system regular chances to settle.
1. Breathe before you begin
Before opening your email or answering a call, take three slow breaths with a longer exhale.
2. Take a walking pause
Five minutes outside, noticing sounds and colours, is a powerful reset.
3. Soften your shoulders
Several times a day, drop your shoulders away from your ears and unclench your jaw.
4. Schedule rest like a meeting
Rest is not laziness. Put a short rest in the calendar, even if it is a five-minute nidra.
5. End the day with a gentle ritual
Dim the lights, put away screens, stretch and breathe. A predictable wind-down helps sleep.
If you would like support building these habits, our Stress Reset & Mindfulness course combines them in an eight-week programme.
